Who’s Easton?
Hey! My name is Easton. I’m a graduate of The Media School at Indiana University and I specialize in capturing and creating engaging content using the Adobe Creative Suite.
Since my freshman year of high school, I’ve loved being creative in the world of media. It all started out in Homestead High School’s Radio and TV department. From being a 2x IASB award winning radio host on WCYT The Point 91FM to being the weatherman on homestead’s student newscast, HHS In Depth, I’ve thrived in creating engaging content for an audience.
After high school, I travelled to Bloomington, Indiana to pursue a degree in Film, TV and Digital Production at IU’s Media School. While Multi and Single-cam production classes helped me be comfortable behind the camera an in a control room, it’s classes like Color Correction, Program Graphics and Animation, and Production Audio which helped me become more well rounded and experienced part of a production team.
I’ve worked in various production positions, and its at IU’s NPR station, WFIU where I got my first taste of a professional media environment. On top of being a full time student and working kitchen jobs, I was able to add my voice and editing work to WFIU’s online and on air content.
In the summer after my senior year, I got the opportunity to help create a Flagship Advertisement for Delta Form Technologies. Owner David Archbald and I worked to develop a script, book equipment, and a rent out a boxing studio for filming. By the time the ad was finished, I had served as a writer, director, editor, voiceover artist, and recruiter for the shoot, and I’m so proud of how the final product came out.
Since graduating, I've continued to pursue my career as a Videographer and Editor at CATS TV, Monroe County Public Library's public television station. I've been capturing video and audio for more than 150 city and county meetings and cultural events throughout the community, as well as editing and digitizing over 100 archival files for broadcast on Monroe County’s cable access station using Adobe Premiere and Adobe Audition.
